How to setup a xbox/xbox360 wireless adapter?

Using the official Microsoft xbox wireless adapter...if the wireless router has WPA or ANY encryption, will the xbox wireless adapter support any encryption? If so, how do you configure the encryption input? Do you access the configuration through the xbox?

I will say everything from start.

you first put the adapter on the xbox and go onto network settings.
then you go to edit settings, and click the 3rd section on basic settings. then you click your wireless connection(put in the key or not)
then you click test connection and there you go
