Can I use 75 ohm RG6 cable instead of 300 ohm twin-lead cable for HDTV antenna?

I am looking to run cable between antenna & 300 ohm adapter?
I have 75ohm quad shield RG-6U cable or do I still need 300ohm?

ok, I now we use RG6 cable from adapter to TV which is on 75ohm connection.

What I want to know is can I also use cable between antenna & the adapter (300 ohms to 75 ohms adapter).

Again,

Antenna -> (cable1) -> Adapter (300 Ohm to 75ohm) -> (cable2)-> TV

I know cable2 connection is 75ohm so no problem using RG59 or RG6 cable.

You **WANT** to use RG-6 to the greatest extent possible.

It is usually double or even quad shielded and will prevent many of the old interference problems many antenna systems had. Remember when it was windy and your TV picture would jump around? That was caused in many cases by not anchoring the cable and the fact it was unshielded and its movement caused certain electrical properties to change. Twin lead I remember seeing has no shield at all. On top of that, it (RG6) is lower loss than RG59 or twin lead.
