Help with hardware!!!?

Since no one answer my other 2 questions, i'll ask a third. My DAVICOM 9102-based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter will not work. I insalled it and it say "This device cannot start. (Code 10) " I have tried uninstalling rebooting and reinstalling and that didn't do squat. i tried unplugging it from the motherboard and pluggging it back in and that didn't help. Any sugestions. Its an old dell dimension with XP. I currently have a wireless usb adapter hooked up to it but i'm right next to the modem and i would perfer speed and have to deal with the wires that slower internet if you know what i mean. i tried plugging in the cable and still nothing. help please!!!

The 'device cannot start' thing is normally caused by a bad driver or a resource clash with another piece of hardware in your PC. If it is a PCI card, un-install it, move it to another slot, and make double-sure you have the correct driver for it. Until you clear this error it will not work, even if you plug a network cable into it. If all else fails, buy a new card - they are very cheap.
