My local cable is fiber optic, is this limited to fewer channels than regular cable tv?
I have a locally owned cable company, and the owner seems to tell us that he is limited on the number of channels he can put on it. This sounds odd for a company that invested so much in the new fiber optic system. Also, I don't see where the quality is any better than the old analog system. Is this true? Dish network seems to be much better. Why is this?
He might have run fiber optic to the Neighborhood NODES, but RF cable from the NODES to the home....
And the amount of channels he can sell is met with how many channel packages he can buy....Small towns can't afford EVERY package, but Big ones can....

However, before you take the leap, it is best to take the advice of a professional who can suggest various options one can choose from and also provide tips on how to increase the internet efficiency of your network connection.
There are always many fiber network service provider available. Fiber optics provides excellent expandability and high levels of bandwidth.
