whats the difference btw 5-port gigabit and a 5-port 10/100 mbps netwk ethernet switch?
I want to be able to work on the internet while my husband plays the PS3 online gaming system without having to constantly disconnect, reconnect and reset the modem.
Well - I'm not sure this would cure your problem - but the answer to your question is all about speed.
Gigabit will transmit data at 1000Mbps
100 will transmit data at a 10th of that speed - 100Mbps
10 will transmit data at a 10th of that - 10Mbps
Like I say - I'm not sure this will cure the problem of "constantly disconnect, reconnect and reset the modem"
