d-link xtreme wireless router question?

im planning to buy this but i want to make sure it really works so can someone who has this or knows about it really help me? also can it connect to more than 1 game system at a time

I'm assuming you are referring to the DGL-4500 > Xtreme N Gaming Router

According to the specs
300 MB/s wireless
1 GB/s on wired LAN (4 ports) and WAN port

Those are good numbers. Be sure to match all the pieces, It does no good to have a 1GB/s connection if the adapter you plug into is 100 MB/s. You'll never see the promised 1 GB that way.
Also, 1GB likes Cat 6 cable or at least Cat 5E. Straight old Cat 5 won't make the grade.
Also notice that the wireless "N" is 300 MB/s - or 1/3
of the wired speed. It's easier to install, but it cuts your gaming performance.
You can certainly run multiple game consoles off this unit. If needed add a 1GB Switch and grow the network. Just remember wired is faster and speed is KING.
